God will restore you the years the swarming locus have eaten. – Joel 2:25
Keyword Restoration.
We fall faint in hard times b/c we don’t know the word of God, we forget the word of God or we truly don’t believe in the word of God but here is your reminder. God will ALWAYS restore.
In the book of Joel the locus had come in 4 swarms, there were so many that they were compared to as waves. Have you gone through health problems you’d never thought would pass? Boom! Like Job with boils? Boom! Like Joseph being accused by Potiphar’s wife? Boom! Like David who cried out, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Boom! Or like Stephen have you ever felt like stones of death were being thrown at you?
Life is hard right?
Nonetheless God promises restoration. After Job yet believed God gave him DOUBLE of everything he lost including a new wife with which he bare more children. A little after David writes Psalms 23 he cries “I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Remember to hold firm to hope and not doubt for God never forgets. We don’t need to avenge our betrayals and our enemies, God will take care of it and restore it. “I will repay your work and a full reward will be given to you by the Lord God of Israel under whose wings you have come for refuge.” And even unto persecution and to death we are yet faithful. For everyone receives reward according to his work.
Be restored and work – remembering faith without works is dead. Be of god cheer
