Sharlene M. Green

My name is Sharlene Marie Green, I am a born-again Christian and interpreter of God’s living word. I am a poet, a writer and a praise dancer. I aim to convert the world by ministry and example, leading the ambivalent to God, one syllable at a time.

I was baptized in January 2004 by my grandfather, Reverend Thomas Pop Sadler underneath the fellowship and oversight of Bethany Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am currently an active member at Thessalonia Worship Center under the guidance of Pastor Malobe Sampson.

This May 2019 I will receive my Master’s degree in Social Work/Policy from Columbia University. As a prospective Attorney, I am seeking to begin law school this Fall 2019 with career ambitions of reforming criminal justice law.

Armed with the word of Jesus Christ, I have sustained my relationship with God via daily communication and acknowledgment of anticipated sins. Today, I glorify my relationship with Christ via respect to his authority and give praise to the deliverance of sin. The word and its Heavenly revelation shines brightly before my eyes. My joy in the Lord is present and great! I look forward to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with you.

My hobbies include dismantling social injustice via grassroots community organizing, city & state politics, writing op-eds for marginalized opinions and recording the stories of the unvoiced and underrepresented. I served as a Buffalo City elected official under the guidance of the Buffalo city democratic party and I am current a Policy Fellow with the Katal Center for Health, Equity and Justice.

I am a fierce advocate – using my platform to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ – I may be found in the corridors of criminal, civil and supreme court where I have served as a criminal court advocate. I also served as a housing court Guardian ad Litem of which I represented elderly and or mentally-ill tenants in evictions proceedings.

Isaiah 40 Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord‘s hand double for all her sins.

In Christ Love,

  1. Wow! I’ll be the first. I’m excited on this new journey you are going to embark and I am anxious and excited what God has in store for you. What God has for you it is for you and nobody can’t take it from you! It’s yours because God appointed it and it’s just for you and you only! Lord keep this woman of God safe in your arms! Be the good shepherd to her as you shown to your children of Israel and also whom you revealed yourself to the prophet of Ezekiel. In the name of Jesus! Amen 🙏🏾

  3. To God be the Glory for all the things he has done. He has delivered you for such a time as this to bring forth what he has put on the inside of you. May you go forth with power and never be afraid to speak what thus says the Lord. May you go forth boldly with God as your head. I speak abundant blessings over you! God has you in the palm of his hand and no devil can snatch you out!! Blessings Kashauna

  4. Hi Sharlene,

You are an absolutely phenomenal and exceptional young woman. The words: dynamic, courageous and charismatic only do you a fraction of justice as you constantly become even more so, reaching and achieving your dreams and goals. I congratulate you again on making one of them true tonight. There is nothing you can’t achieve. And always I support you and wish you all the best!! 🙂
